Historic Environment Farm Environment Record Portal

This website allows farmers and land managers applying to the Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFi) scheme to request a Historic Environment Farm Environment Record (HEFER) for their holding. 

The HEFER lists the known historic and archaeological features on a land holding and provides advice on how to protect and enhance them.  It may include information about: 

• Scheduled Monuments;
• Registered Parks and Gardens and Registered Battlefields; and
• non-designated historic and archaeological features, known as SHINE features, which have been created by your local authority Historic Environment Record (HER).

Prospective applicants should register to use this service and will be sent an email to confirm their registration.  Registered customers can request a SFI HEFER by entering their Single Business Identifier (SBI) and will receive an email when the SFI HEFER is available for download.
